Skyfall

”Skyfall” is the new Bond movie, which is directed by Sam Mendes, says Walter Helwich. The film stars Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem. This film combines several genres – action, thriller, adventure, in order to continue the great journey about 007.

This is the latest sequel of the 007 movies. The loyalty of Bond to the boss of secret service M is tempted, when his boss finds herself haunted by her controversial past. Agent 007 must disclose and destroy those threats at any cost. His last job failed, therefore all the agents around the world were revealed. Afterwards, the headquarters MI6 is attacked, and M is forced to change the location of the agency. The new president of the Intelligence and Security Council, Mallory has certain doubts regarding M’s authority and position, precisely because those events. The agency MI6 is menaced both from the outside and inside, so, there is only one person that M can trust – Bond. Agent 007 is under cover, and he can easily locate agent Eve. He also follows some trails that lead to the mysterious Silva, who has many hidden motives.

”Skyfall” is directed by the Oscar winner, Sam Mendes. The screenplay is written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. The cinematographer Roger Deakins, is nine-times nominee for an Oscar, and he has worked with Mendes on several films. In addition, the Production designer of “Skyfall”, Dennis Gassner, is also an Oscar winner, who also worked on the film “Quantum of Solace”. Daniel Craig plays the agent Bond for the third time; his opponent is played by Javier Bardem. Adele performs the musical theme for “Skyfall”.

All in all, this film is a masterpiece. Some critics have declared “Skyfall”  the best Bond movie, filled with humor and warmth. Moreover, they praised the director Mendes and his cast. Daniel Craig is brilliant, but Javier Bardem was named as best villain in the James Bond movies lately.
