Wreck-It Ralph

Walter Helwich believes that the animated comedy “Wreck-It Ralph” directed by Rich Moore,  is a real masterpiece. This animated movie stars John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch.

Walt Disney Animation brings us an animated story about video games, showing us the lives of computer-generated characters from a totally different point of view. The director Rich Moore (The Simpsons), created his first-born, based on the story “Wreck-it Ralph”, which he wrote in collaboration with the duo Phil & Jim Johnston Reardon. Johnston and Jennifer Lee adapted the story in an authentic movie script, which lead us some 30 years back in the past, at a time when video games were just a privilege for smaller number of people (mainly adults and teens). Ralph is the main star, a villain from a video game. Furthermore, Felix is the good guy, who succeeds to amend the situation on the overall satisfaction of building residents, adds Mr. Helwich.

Ralph decides to change something in his monotonous life, when he felt tired. Actually, Ralph wants to receive little attention, a warm human word, and above all, public recognition in the form of medals. Driven by his own ambition, he embarks on a journey into the world of other games, where he will encounter some other colorful characters, such as Calhoun and Vanellope von Schweetz. The Walt Disney Animation team engaged into this project very ambitiously, and they hoped that it will address to wider audience. In fact, these animated heroes remind us all that we used to enjoyed the video games with the same zeal just like these kids today. Therefore, we shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that the $ 165 million invested in production were covered for about 4-5 months. Click here to see Walter's video review about this movie.

Walter Helwich - How to fight stress?

Walter Helwich is not far from the truth when said on his blog that nowadays, stress is a term that is commonly used to define our state, when we feel uncomfortable, but it leaves severe consequences, which are hardly recognizable. In addition, the stress is a quiet killer, which provokes a wide range of diseases such as degenerative diseases, cancer, diabetes etc. The weight gain, mental illness and hair loss are frequent indicators that you have too much stress in your life. But, every human being who wants to live a peaceful and quality mental, physical and emotional life should aim to live stress-free life.

When stressed, the body produces three hormones: adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol. All of them are produced by the adrenal glands and all trigger:

- Suppression of neurotransmitter activity

- Disintegration of the endocrine system

- Weak immunity

- Slow digestion

These hormones influence the body’s response to stress. Furthermore, Walter Helwich thinks that the stress causes mood swings, obsessive-compulsive disorders and bipolar hampered hormonal imbalance. They can also cause hair loss and fat accumulation, especially in the abdominal area. In addition, as the stress is becoming a common part of our life, so as the insulin resistance becoming higher, adds Mr. Helwich. When we are constantly in a state of ‘threat’ or ‘emergency’, the body releases glucose in order to provide enough fuel to fight or escape. Unfortunately, this is not quite necessary, so the pancreas produces insulin surge to deal with the onslaught of glucose. Over time, this cycle depletes the pancreas and creates resistant-insulin cells.

When the glucose metabolism becomes ineffective, the rest of the organs such as brain, liver, adrenal glands, thyroid and bowel suffer because of the lack of fuel, and after follow some diseases including high blood pressure, arthritis, kidney failure, neurological problems and ulcers, adds Walter Helwich. American banks earned 42.2 million dollar

According to Walter Helwich, the unemployment rate in the United States in July this year was lowered to 7.4%, which is the lowest in the last four and a half years. The U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Agency (FDIC) announced that U.S. banks from April to June this year earned more than the same period last year, due to significantly lower losses from the bad loans, correspondent agency Anatolia. In the second quarter this year, the U.S. banking sector earned $ 42.2 billion, which is up to 23% compared to the same period last year, says Walter Helwich. In addition, Mr. Helwich states that the losses of U.S. banks on the basis of non-performing loans decreased by 30.7% i.e. to $ 14.2 billion, in the second quarter this year, which is the lowest rate in the last six years.

FDIC claims that the lending increased by 1% compared to the first quarter this year, but the higher lending encourages the consumption of households and enterprises, enabling the opening of new job posts and faster economic growth of the country. On the other hand, the unemployment rate in the United States (U.S.) in July this year has been reduced to 7.4%, the lowest rate in the last four and a half years.

According to the Ministry of the United States, the unemployment rate fell down from 7.6% in June, to 7.4% (162,000 jobs) in July. In May and June, it was recorded that there were 26,000 jobs less than earlier planned. According to some recent data from the U.S. Department of Commerce, the consumers spent the most in June.
